Short-eared Owls hunt grasslands for small mammals. This owl patrols the area searching for prey. It dives into the grass and appears to miss the prey, as it resumes its search. The light, which is low in the west as sunset approaches, bathes the grasses, and occasionally the owl, in a golden glow. The video ends with a slow motion repeat as the owl approaches the viewer. |
