Short-eared Owl at the Fire Island Hawk Watch

This Short-eared Owl was quite nervous.  The wind was blowing at 20-25 mph,
and the Merlins were zooming past ready to grab anything in their paths.
In fact, as this owl continued to check to the left and the right, there was
a Merlin sitting on a pole eating his lunch just behind and the tree!
